Responsibilities:

Monitoring the engine room watchkeeping system and further ensuring its effectiveness;

Ensuring proper records are kept of all machinery and plant, and that all areas are regularly checked and monitored during a watch ;

Liaising with Mate / Master regarding to crew dispositions, and ensuring his subordinates are assisting in the operation of the vessel;

Carrying out all routine maintenance and minor running repairs;

Implementing the Company's safety policy and to set a good example to his subordinates;

Checking safety equipment and systems regularly, and instructing his subordinates in their proper use;
-
Monitoring the quantity of fuel, lubricating oils, spare parts and portable water onboard, and to ensure the stocks are maintained at the acceptable level;
Requirements:
-
Class 1 or Class 2 seagoing engineer cert. STCW holders, HK Discharge book;
-
Local Licence of over 150BHP engineer;
